Everybody likes to save money, right?
A dollar here, a few cents there – it might not seem like much, but before you know it you can finally afford to buy that $5.00 cup of Starbucks coffee everyday. Or better yet, now you can finally start adding to your savings! Doesn’t it feel great?
Recently, I discovered something that easily allows you to apply coupons from all over the internet to an online purchase. Honey is a chrome browser extension that does just that, however, they also recently added to their capabilities. Now, Amazon shoppers can find the best deal in an instant. If you’re buying multiple items, it’s never been easier to save so much while buying in one spot.
Alright, let me show you just how easy it is!
As you can see above, I have items sitting in my Amazon shopping cart. Notice something different?
That would be the Honey plugin at work! Here, Honey notices that there is a better deal for this book on Amazon.
If we click on the orange “save” button, we will see this pop up:
Here, Honey shows me the lowest price and compares to the previous price.
If I click on the Swap button, I’ll then see Honey working the magic:
After that, whah-lah! I now have the better deal in my cart. The best part it, Honey will automatically do this for you every time you log in to Amazon through your Chrome browser with the Honey extension.
That’s not all that is does, cool enough – as we see below, if you add an item to your “droplist”, you’ll get an email if the price drops lower than it currently is set at. That way, you can end up saving even more on future purchases!
And of course, once you have found the lowest price for each of the items you plan to buy, you can still run Honey and see if there is more potential for savings through coupon codes:
All in all, Honey is a great extension for anyone who would love to save money as an online shopper. Which, let’s be real, is all of us.
All in all, I only saved about $2.50. But for a $30.00 purchase, I’m not too disappointed! I’m sure that with time, I’ll end up finding both better and worse savings than I did today with Honey. Since there’s nothing to lose, however, why not give it a go the next time you wanna splurge on some new kicks?
